As you maaaay have heard, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are getting divorced after just two years of marriage. Which we can all agree is…not a long amount of time!
When it comes to what went wrong, there are a million sources who will not stop talking about it over this way, but apparently the couples’ issues started during their honeymoon in Lake Como, Italy.
Quick reminder, Jen and Ben went on honeymoon in August 2022, and were followed by paparazzi pretty much the entire time. Which isn’t exactly surprising given Lake Como is a pretty touristy spot, but apparently Ben wasn’t into it!
“He was unhappy with paparazzi following them,” a source tells Page Six. “She is an international superstar, and he acted like it came as a surprise that they would be followed around.”
And while the pair seemed happy enough in the photos that were taken, apparently things weren’t as rosy behind the scenes. “They would barely speak to each other during what was supposed to be the happiest time of their life,” the insider adds. “He sold her on him being a changed man, and that lasted a very short time.”
The source also noted, in part, that Ben didn’t want Jen’s entourage around and “all the drama that comes with that in his home.”
Anyway! Ben and Jen still haven’t put out a statement confirming the end of their relationship, but thanks to Jen’s divorce filing, plenty of details are public. Like the fact that they don’t seem to have a prenup…
