Here’s what you need to know before your trip:

Book car parking in advance

Belfast International Airport say to guarantee a parking space and get the best price, book your car parking as early as possible in advance online.

Passengers who arrive at the airport without having already booked parking cannot be guaranteed a space.

Car parking options

Parking options at the airport include the main car park, long stay, short stay, and Park and Fly.

Short stay:

The Short stay car park offers the closest car parking to the airport. It’s a 1-2 mins walk to the terminal.

The airport website says: “The short-stay can always be used as a drop-off and pick-up area for passengers and is priced to reflect this. The turn up gate prices are displayed on Entry and prices are subject to change. Always check the tariff boards on entry to car park for the most recent prices.”

Main car park:

The airport says that the Main car park is ideal for business and short break passengers. It’s a 2-3 mins walk to the terminal.

The airport website states: “Conveniently situated directly in front of the terminal building with number plate recognition, secure barrier controls and manned 24 hours a day, the Main Car Park is perfect for those passengers wanting to park for a few days at most…”

It’s situated a short walk away from the terminal. The airport says it’s “an ideal solution for stays of over 4 days”.

Park and Fly:

The airport says Park and Fly offers “low cost, secure and convenient car parking”, with a minimum stay of 3 days. It offers a shuttle bus to the terminal.

Alternative option:

Externally, McCausland Airport Parking is located across the road from the airport. It offers a one minute shuttle to the airport terminal.

Remove liquids

You can only take liquids in individual containers with a maximum capacity of 100ml in your hand luggage on the plane.

The airport says each item should be removed from hand luggage and placed in a transparent, re-sealable plastic bag of not more than one litre capacity per passenger.

Get ready for security

Before reaching security, it’s a good idea to remove your laptop, tablet, or similar electronic devices from your hand luggage to be inspected separately.

Coats, boots, jackets, and belts should also be removed to help speed up the process.

Check travel documents and keep essentials handy

The airport says to make sure your tickets and boarding pass, travel insurance, driving licence, currency and credit cards are safe but easily accessible. It’s also mindful to carry a charger for your smartphone and have your airline information ready.

Always double-check your travel documents including your passport expiration date as per country requirements and make sure you have the correct documentation ready at check-in.

Arrive on time

Check with your airline for the latest information on your flight and arrive when your airline advises.

Belfast International Airport recommend you arrive at the Airport at least two hours before your flight departs.
