Becky Lynch has announced that she will be returning to our screens in her first job since leaving WWE earlier this year – as she launches a new career.
The multi-time Women’s Champion has been a free agent since June when her WWE contract expired with her last fight a defeat by Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage Women’s World Championship title decider.
Lynch, whose real name is Rebecca Quin, is widely regarded as one of the most influential female wrestlers of all time and is a likely future WWE Hall of Famer.
Speculation over the 37-year-old’s next career move has been rife over the last six months and, on Monday, she revealed all in a social-media post.
‘When you’ve already been champion of the world, there’s only really one place to go next… and that’s to the stars,’ she said.
‘And I’m so excited to share with all of you that I’m joining Star Trek: Starfleet Academy as part of the Bridge crew.

The series is expected to premiere in late 2025 or early 2026 with Lynch joined in the 32nd Century by a cast including Holly Hunter, Kerrice Brooks, Paul Giamatti and Bella Shepard.
It is not the Irishwoman’s first acting assignment, she has appeared in cameo roles in Billions and Young Rock.
