Jenna Coleman was back on screens on Sunday in the third instalment of BBC drama, The Jetty.
However, many pointed out sound issues, which seems to have been plaguing viewers through each episode, while others were left confused with the plot.
The drama saw detective Ember Manning (Jenna Coleman) edging closer to the answers she’s been after but ending up in some big trouble herself.
A synopsis describes the drama “as much a coming-of-age story as a detective thriller,” and adds: “The Jetty asks big questions about sexual morality, identity and memory, in the places that Me Too has left behind.”
While the third episode saw more drama unfolding than the first two episodes, fans were still left without answers to the ultimate mystery of what happened to missing teen, Amy (Bo Bragason) and how Ember’s late husband fits into the crime.
Despite the plot thickening, viewers slammed the latest episode on social media, continuing to complain about sound issues and the hard-to-follow narrative.

Taking to X, viewers vented their frustrations as one person penned: “The jetty on @BBCOne is becoming a total snooze fest of a watch it’s only 4 episodes but feels like an eternity it drags that much #thejetty #bbc #crime #drama #tv.”
“I’m having difficulty following the dialogue on #TheJetty,” a second shared, echoing the complaints of previous episodes.
“#TheJetty was a really excellent drama, but the sound quality was so bad in parts that I had to use subtitles,” another commented.
Someone else asked: “Does anyone know what the f*** is going on? #thejetty,” with another also asking: “Does anyone understand what’s going on? #thejetty.”

Talking about the drama before it aired, leading lady Coleman, 38, shared an element of filming the series she “loved” as she reflected on working with her co-star Archie Renaux.
Talking about her character, the actress commented: “Her relationship with her side-kick Hitch, played by Archie Renaux, is really fun.
“I loved filming those scenes with him. She’s quite challenging of Hitch and calls him out all the time, so there’s this constant banter and back-and-forth between them.”
