Clare Balding clearly didn’t plan to blend in at the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony.
The BBC presenter was fronting the BBC’s coverage of the ceremony on Sunday night along with a few other sporty famous faces.
For the event, Clare, 53, rocked a bright green silk blazer, which featured a pattern that was made up of other shades of green and it also boasted a fluorescent pink trim on the collar.
The presenter paired the striking clothing item with a lime green top and added a chunky statement necklace to finish the look off.
Fans notably couldn’t miss Clare’s choice of outfit, with one viewer @BazDriscoll tweeting: “@clarebalding you’ll be pleased to know that your outfit tonight is testing the colour gamut on my new telly to its limits,” as @sue_bagg added: “What the heck is Claire Balding wearing, she looks like a parrot.”
A third viewer @Jameypaint asked: “What the f–k is Claire Balding wearing ffs.”
As @Ashleypp1986 echoed: “What’s Claire Balding come as? #BBCOlympics #Olympics”
And @montydangerous likened Clare’s blazer to a famous sweet treat, quipping: “Nice to see Claire Balding dressed in homage to this 90s classic ice cream #OlympicGames,” along with a picture of the iconic ice cream.
While others seemed to be in awe of the broadcaster’s look, with one person even wanting to buy it for themselves.
Fan @CrisisStephen admitted: “In fairness, my mother has just said to me: ‘I *WANT* that jacket & I’m prepared to sell some jewellery you’ll inherit to afford it!’.”
