BBC radio presenter and DJ Scott Mills tied the knot with his audio producer beau Sam Vaughan in Sitges, near Barcelona, on Saturday. His colleague Rylan threw an on-air pre-wedding bash last week to celebrate their decision to tie the knot after seven years together.

The pair, who have been engaged since 2021, are said to have had an epic bash in Barcelona, with guests including fellow BBC Radio 2 pal Zoe Ball present. Zoe, who sadly lost her mum to advanced pancreatic cancer last month, was able to raise a tentative smile as she shared a photo on social media of herself jetting off on the plane.

“It’s finally happening!” she captioned it, teasingly tagging both men in the post. She’d shared her excitement earlier in the day on her radio show too, declaring: “So this weekend our boy Scott Mills is getting married, to our friend Sam who often works on the breakfast show….

“So excited to watch them walking down the aisle. They are gorgeous, gorgeous boys.” Meanwhile, Capital FM star Chris Stark teased his own appearance at the wedding after he shared a picture of a Barcelona sunset on his own Instagram page.

Chris had previously worked closely with Scott every day during the era when the pair had been on BBC Radio 1 together. It’s thought that the excited couple left no stone unturned in their quest for the perfect wedding, with the pair regularly jetting to Barcelona and back for venue visits and menu tastings.

Earlier this week, Sam shared footage of himself and Scott enjoying some Prosecco in the airport lounge ahead of the flight, captioning it: “Let’s jet off to get married then @realscottmills.”

Their pre-wedding bash the night before, in nearby Sitges, reportedly featured a rooftop performance from singer Callum Scott.

Meanwhile, a celebrity stylist was employed to keep the couple looking chic on the most important day so far in their lives as a couple.

They were decked out in YSL and Gucci, following an outfit-planning party with a huge board of nibbles, including copious amounts of Scotch eggs.

Rylan had surprised Scott as he celebrated his “hen party” and clutched a “Bride to Be” balloon in the Radio 2 studio last week, kissing his pal affectionately on the forehead as he honoured his big day.

As Rylan boasted a crown, Scott was gifted a tiara, in a moment which the former described as “pure chaos”.

Meanwhile, Scott and Sam aren’t the only celebrities to have tied the knot this week, with Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster heading over to Dubrovnik to mark Rod’s son Liam tying the knot.

He and his partner Nicole chose a church made famous by Game of Thrones to celebrate their epic wedding, after welcoming their first child, a boy named Louie, months earlier.
