Saturday night will see one Strictly Come Dancing star crowned with the glitterball trophy – but BBC Breakfast may have given the game away for the 2024 winner
Chris McCausland named bookmakers favourite to win Strictly
The curtain falls on Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday evening (December 14), with one celeb set to lift the coveted glitterball trophy. The grand finale of the 22nd series will see the final four couples strut their stuff on the dance floor for the last time, hoping to wow both the judges and the viewers.
Eleven pairs have already been shown the door, with Pete Wicks and Jowita Przysta being the latest casualties in the semi-final, leaving fierce competition for the final.
Judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood will be scoring the routines, but it’s the public who will crown the winning couple through a live vote. BBC Breakfast gave a sneak peek on Saturday morning about which celebrity and professional dancer might clinch the win as they prepare for their final performances in the ballroom.

A reporter revealed: “Chris McCausland is Strictly’s first blind contestant, and the comedian has emerged as bookmakers’ favourite to win.”
He added: “He and his professional partner Dianne Buswell will reprise their couple choice routine to the John Lennon classic Instant Karma, which went viral on social media”, reports the Express.
Chris and Dianne are currently leading the pack with the bookies, with the 47-year-old comedian standing at 1/12 to win the competition, according to comparison site Oddschecker.
They’ll be going toe-to-toe on the dance floor against actress Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, JLS star JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, and former Love Island contestant Tasha Ghouri and pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec.
JB and Lauren are currently in the running for second place with odds of 20/1, while Sarah and Vito are hot on their heels as third favourites at 45/1.
In contrast, Tasha and Aljaz’s chances have taken a hit, with odds of 66/1 putting them in fourth place.
The Strictly final, which lasts two-and-a-half hours, will see the four couples perform three routines: two dances from earlier in the series, and a brand new show dance.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday at 6pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
