Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has emerged as a potential target for Vincent Kompany at Bayern Munich.
Bayern want Jonathan Tah from rivals Bayer Leverkusen and have opened talks but with the 28-year-old keen to join, despite playing a key role as Xabi Alonso‘s side remained unbeaten en route to winning the Bundesliga last season.
Colwill is aware of Bayern’s interest and early soundings have been made but the Blues do not want to sell.
The 21-year-old has been keen to play regularly since a stand-out loan spell at Brighton.
He made 32 appearances for Chelsea last season before injuries curtailed much of the latter part of the campaign.
Bayern are continuing discussions with Fulham over a fee for Joao Palhinha after a £30m bid was rejected last week.
Fulham are in talks with Hoffenheim over a deal for Jacob Bruun Larsen. The Danish winger, 25, was on loan at Burnley last season.
