Baldur’s Gate 3 Players Have Downloaded More Than 15 Million Mods Since Patch 7 Arrived – IGN

Must read

Baldur’s Gate 3 players have uploaded more than 1,000 mods and downloaded more than 15 million since Larian Studios released an official toolkit alongside Patch 7 on September 9.

This is only on PC too, as Larian shared the stats alongside announcing the highly anticipated Patch 7 arrives on console today.

“We’ve watched as you’ve customised your dice with flames and iridescent pearl, lightened the load of gold in your packs, and adjusted your party limit from 4 to 16. Because who needs personal space anyway?” Larian said in a Steam post.

Patch 7 hitting consoles also means mods do too, of course, meaning these numbers will likely increase exponentially. The 1,000 uploads and 15 million downloads is only counting the official toolkit mods too, meaning traditionally made mods and ones created using the cracked version.

Mods released as a result of Patch 7 include one that adds real time combat to the otherwise turn based role-playing game and another which brought entire new maps to Faerûn too, including the highly requested Avernus.

Patch 7 otherwise added official content including an “absolutely metal” ending for Karlach and a hidden evil ending. Players will also be relieved to hear that it’s not the final Baldur’s Gate 3 patch after all.

In our 10/10 review of the game, IGN said: “With crunchy, tactical RPG combat, a memorable story with complex characters, highly polished cinematic presentation, and a world that always rewards exploration and creativity, Baldur’s Gate 3 is the new high-water mark for CRPGs.”
