The game’s next update, Patch 8, will add the much-anticipated Photo Mode, cross-platform play, and 12 subclasses.

It may be several years away, but Larian Studios is stoked about their next game.
Larian is allowing players on Steam PC, Xbox, and PlayStation to register for the Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 Stress Test. The studio wants people to “rigorously test the latest game version to detect instability or gameplay issues before Patch 8 releases.” They aim to keep tabs on anything that breaks the upcoming content patch, ensuring a smooth launch when it’s ready.
Once registered, check your email for further details on accessing the stress test. Xbox users must download the Xbox Insider Hub App to become an Xbox Insider and join the playtest. Do note that registering for the Stress Test does not guarantee access!
