Bacta wants members to ‘introduce’ Labour MPs to gambling industry

Must read

Bacta president John Bollom has told InterGame that the association’s members must work hard to welcome Labour’s new members of Parliament to the UK gambling industry, after the party’s general election victory.

Bollom said his organisation’s wishlist for the future is part of a ready-made package that came from the white paper negotiations and which a new gambling minister can “pick up and go with.”

But an incoming minister might have his or her own ideas and perhaps even start the consultation process again, bringing frustration to the business.

The message from Bollom to his members is that having undertaken a strong campaign of getting to know candidates, the ice has now effectively been broken with the new MPs.

“Members should work hard to get close to those new MPs and introduce them to our industry and the benefits that a positive new gambling regulation can bring,” he said.
