Baby Reindeer’s Richard Gadd tells court of ‘abuse’ by alleged real-life stalker

The creator of Baby Reindeer suffered years of “exhausting and extremely upsetting” harassment by a stalker depicted in the Netflix show, court filings allege.

Richard Gadd, 35, says in response to a $170 million defamation lawsuit brought by Fiona Harvey, 58, that she subjected him to “harassment, abuse and threats”.

Harvey accuses Netflix of intentionally inflicting emotional distress, negligence, gross negligence and violating her right of publicity. While not named in the series, Harvey has identified herself as being the inspiration for the character Martha Scott.
