An aunt and her teenage nephew plunged to their deaths down a waterfall after she slipped while taking a selfie.
Debora Mothe, 43, lost her footing and Romulo Cordeiro died trying to save her at the waterfall in Campos dos Goytacazes, Brazil on Sunday.
Their grieving family told local media that Ms Mothe slipped when she went to take a photo.
A frantic search was launched and it took rescuers 30 hours to find their bodies at the site.
Ms Mothe worked as a PE teacher and Romulo was a student enrolled on a building technician course.
His school declared a day of official mourning and suspended academic classes on Monday.

The bodies of Ms Mothe and her nephew were released back to the family on Tuesday and buried the same day in the city of Sao Francisco de Itabapoana.
The case was registered at the local police station who have launched an investigation into their deaths.
Romulo’s school said in a statement: ‘With deep regret, we inform you of the death of the student, Romulo Lopes Cordeiro, from the Integrated Building Technician course at IFF Campus Campos Centro.
‘The campus decrees official mourning and academic and administrative activities will be suspended from 2.20pm, today (August 19).
‘Our community stands in solidarity with the family and friends at this time of grief.
‘We count on everyone’s understanding.’
