Asda, Lidl, Tesco and Sainsbury’s shoppers warned about buying bread in store

Must read

Bread sold at Lidl, Tesco, Asda, and Sainsbury’s has been hailed as “unsafe to eat” by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The shocking food recall comes as Irish bakery giant Johnston Mooney and O’Brien warned some of its baps, burger buns, and hot dog rolls could contain “pieces of metal”.

The FSA stated: “Johnston Mooney and O’Brien is recalling various baked products because they may contain small pieces of metal. This makes the products unsafe to eat.”

Ten baked goods are affected by the urgent food recall; all of the bread products affected have a best-before date of July 21, 2024.

Supermarket shoppers have been given clear instructions: “If you have bought any of the products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.”
