Arsenal are aiming to go one better in the Premier League next season and already have a few transfer targets in mind to bolster Mikel Arteta’s squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign
It’s now just a matter of days until the 2024 summer transfer window opens for Premier League clubs – and Arsenal look set to be busy.
The Gunners came second in the Premier League and reached the Champions League quarter-finals last term so will no doubt be aiming to better that. Luckily, Mikel Arteta has some funds to spend to improve his squad.
The Spaniard is no stranger to spending big money. And that looks likely to be the same this summer.
He already has his targets as the Gunners’ dressing room prepares for a refresh. Take a look at all of the latest rumours and confirmed moves all in one place:
Chelsea rival Gunners for Sesko
Despite Arsenal looking as they were the early frontrunners for the signing of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, they could now face some unwanted competition. Premier League rivals Chelsea could muscle their way in.
According to Evening Standard, Chelsea retain a strong interest in the forward and are confident that they can rival the Gunners. Sesko is available this summer due to a £56million release clause written into his contract with RB Leipzig.
Arsenal’s interest has not deterred the Blues but they have alternatives. They are also eyeing Victor Osimhen but will not match Napoli’s £100m price tag, while Brighton’s Evan Ferguson is also admired.

Elneny makes heartbreaking admission
While Sesko could potentially arrive at the Emirates this summer, one man who is leaving is Mohamed Elneny. The Egyptian has already announced his exit upon the expiry of his contract.
And he has since admitted that he was too ‘heartbroken’ to take part in a traditional post-season send-off. The Egyptian said: “It breaks my heart – that’s why I refused to take to the field [on the lap of honour] because I was so full of emotion. But that’s life, my time here has come to an end and I’m very proud of what I’ve done for this club.
“I love these fans and I gave everything that I had. I appreciate everything they did for me, in the good moments and the bad, and they’re always going to be in my heart forever.”
Arsenal approach Tsygankov reps
Arsenal could also welcome a new winger to North London this summer having made an effort to sign Girona star Viktor Tsygankov. That is according to Spanish outlet AS, who claim that the Gunners have made contact with his representatives.
It is suggested that Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the Ukrainian wideman and sees him as a perfect addition to his system. The 26-year-old is happy with Girona and would only leave for a club in the Champions League.
It is further reported that he has a £25.5m release clause written into his contract – something that his current employers are keen to increase with a new deal. AC Milan are also said to be interested.
