Lisa Armstrong has shared the happy news of a new family member
Lisa Armstrong has shared her joy on social media as she introduced a new, tiny member to her family. Taking to Instagram, Lisa, who was previously married to Ant McPartlin for 11 years, posted several adorable snaps of the newborn boy dressed in an elephant-themed outfit.
She expressed her excitement to meet the little one, born on Boxing Day, and affectionately referred to herself as ‘Great Aunty Cise’. Her post read: “Introducing baby Bowers… Congratulations @morgan.brookex and @bowerz17 He’s just perfect! ! …. Jude John-Noel born 26/12/24 5lb 5oz. Great Aunty Cise can’t wait to meet you baby boy.”
The announcement was met with a wave of congratulations from friends and followers, including comedian Alan Carr who commented: “Beautiful”.
Others joined in with messages such as “Oh my goodness! Righty, he’s so cute! Congrats to you all xxx.” and “Congratulations on the new addition to your family.”, reports the Mirror.
Following a challenging year, Lisa also shared an inspirational message hinting at a brighter future: “You spent 2024 in survival mode. 2025 is your time to rise, rebuild, and thrive.”
This comes after Lisa opened up about her “silent battles” following the news that her ex-husband Ant had welcomed his first child with his wife Anne-Marie Corbett earlier in the year.
In June, Ant McPartlin introduced his son Wilder Patrick to the world with an Instagram post, sharing a black and white photo of the newborn alongside the caption: “Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess.”
The snap also revealed a previously unseen tattoo on Ant’s arm, a family tree featuring the names Daisy, Poppy and Amzie – his stepdaughters and his wife’s nickname. This personal touch reportedly had a profound impact on Ant’s ex-wife Lisa, especially since the former couple had shared their own aspirations for children, with Ant once confessing: “Lisa and I would love to have kids. We’re trying. It’s tougher than you think when you get a bit older. We’ve been trying for a little while so fingers crossed.”
It’s believed that Lisa discovered her ex-husband’s baby news through the media rather than being informed personally. Reports suggest that Ant’s public announcement, including the tattoo tribute to Anne-Marie’s children, was particularly painful for her.
A friend disclosed to Mail Online: “It is a tragedy. She missed her chance to have a baby and now she has to see Ant flaunting that tattoo on social media. He really didn’t need to do that. It feels like he was rubbing her face in it. You have to remember we are talking about a story of great sadness here, she gave Ant everything and at the end of it all, ended up with an empty crib.”
Amidst the buzz of his baby news, Lisa turned to social media, sharing enigmatic messages about ‘silent battles’. She posted: “Be proud of how you have been handling these past few months. The silent battles you’ve fought, the moments you’ve had to humble yourself, the times you’ve wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength.” She also shared another saying: “I no longer listen to what people say, I just watch what they do. Behaviour never lies.”
