Amazon customers have said they will ‘never go back to Ninja‘ after snapping up an air fryer for under £60. The Cosori Air Fryer 9-in-1 Compact Oven has been reduced to £59.99, a saving of £40 on its usual £99.99 price tag.
The air fryer has a 4.7L capacity that’s designed to cater for up to four people and can comfortably accommodate 12 chicken wings, a whole chicken weighing 2.25kg or 1.8kg of chips. This versatile gadget boasts nine functions that can cook everything from chicken, fries and steak to seafood and vegetables.
The Cosori air fryer costs 33p per hour to run, 6p less than the Ninja Air Fryer MAX, according to energy calculator sust-it. It features a removable, non-stick basket that’s dishwasher safe, while Amazon customers will also receive a cookbook with more than 30 original recipes.
The Cosori Air Fryer has achieved a score of 4.7 out of five stars after 26,000 Amazon ratings, 21,000 of which are five-star. Customers have praised the device’s ‘foolproof’ controls and ‘outstanding’ build quality, adding that it ‘cooks in half the time of a regular oven’.
One buyer said: “I have just used this air fryer and it’s amazing, my sausages came out perfect. So quiet, very light and with an easy foolproof control panel, much better than my Ninja. The size is perfect and doesn’t take up much room on my countertop. Seen lots of good reviews on this machine so thought I would give it a go, I am so pleased that I did and would never go back to Ninja. The quality of the machine is outstanding [and] feels really sturdy, I would definitely recommend this machine.”
Another said: “Best gadget. So I finally fell on the bandwagon, did lots of research about price, size, efficiency etc and despite never hearing of Cosori before I opted for the 4.7L one. I started with bog-standard oven chips just to get a feel for it and eight mins later was yum, then I went into overdrive and made meringue, omelette with leftover yolks, crispy thighs for Korean fried chicken, sweet potato fries, heated up a pastie… I could go on, but what I’m saying is anything you’d cook in a regular oven you can do in this and half as quick, mega crispy and juicy.”
A third added: “One word, ‘great’. I bought this without high expectations as I owned Ninja Foodie Max for years and was thinking it is the best. I am still happy with my Ninja Foodie but this Cosori is great. Even some foods such as chips are cooked more evenly with Cosori comparing Ninja. I am absolutely happy and planning to buy a gift for Mum.”
However, the same buyer said the Cosori air fryer can produce an ‘awful smell’, writing: “I read some bad smell reviews before I bought and I experienced the same. It took a day to get rid of this awful smell, two to three times cleaning and five or six times making it a hot cycle. You need to clean it with soap and warm water a couple of times between. But in the end, all the bad smells have gone and never came back. I do recommend.”
Alternatively, Ninja’s summer sale has seen price drops on a range of air fryers including £50 off the Ninja Air Fryer at £99.99 and £50.99 off the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer at £169.
