Amazon cuts price of ‘fantastic’ eye cream hailed for ‘reducing dark circles’

Must read

Shoppers will undoubtedly be tired of spending their hard-earned cash on eye creams that claim to work miracles – only to be left disappointed. One eye cream, however, has left shoppers impressed with its ability to reduce puffiness and dark circles.

The REN Clean Skincare Radiance Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream is currently on sale at Amazon ahead of the online retailer’s summer Prime Day on July 16 to 17. You can snap up the ‘premium beauty’ product for £29, down from £44, for a limited time. LookFantastic is selling it for £44, while Boots has it for £49.

The eye cream is ‘proven to visibly reduce dark circles after seven days’ and has a lightweight formula. It’s designed to give your eyes a brightening burst of hydration that ‘instantly revives tired eyes’ while helping to even skin tone, and lift and improve the appearance of firmness.

REN’s eye cream contains elderberry flower to help neutralise dark circles, glycogen extracted from corn to boost hydration, and hyaluronic acid that nourishes and prevents water loss. Amazon customers are so impressed with the eye cream that it’s become a staple in their beauty routine, with many buying it multiple times.

After cleansing and applying moisturiser, REN recommends simply pumping one small rice grain-sized amount between two fingers and gently massaging it over the under-eyes, eyelids and brow bones and tap the cream in until fully absorbed. Amazon customers have given the REN Clean Skincare Radiance Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream an overall rating of 4.3 out of five.

One shopper said: “Very reasonably priced and good for sensitive skin. I’ve been using this product for a few years now after having a reaction to other much more expensive eye creams. It goes on smoothly and feels comfortable around my eyes.”

A second wrote: “Happy with the results. I definitely see improvement after using it for a few weeks now. It moisturises the delicate skin under the eyes. The texture feels heavy at first and I would say it is very rich, but it spreads nicely. I tap it with my fingers and it feels ok (no stretching of the skin). I definitely see a visible reduction in puffiness and dark circles. I’m really surprised and will buy another one.”

Some people, however, weren’t impressed with the size of the eye cream or the usual price, but they still rated it five stars. One explained: “I’ve only used it once and I noticed a difference straight away. It’s lovely and thick. I only bought it because it was on sale. I wouldn’t pay full price just because it’s so expensive for such a small amount. It’s about the size of a lipstick to give you an idea. I would buy it again because it’s great, but only on sale! Great quality. Good effect on the skin.”

Another added: “Fantastic price. It’s a tiny pot and very expensive usually, but I’ve managed to find it on offer twice. It works really well so I’m glad I’ve made the effort to find it at a more affordable price.”
