Alison Hammond was branded the ‘best thing to ever happen to the Great British Bake Off‘ as she took a hilarious tumble during Tuesday night’s quarter finals.
The presenter, 49, fronts the show with Noel Fielding and during 1970s week Alison had a funny fall leaving viewers in stitches.
She was wandering around at the back of the tent when she sat on one of the empty benches and tried to do a leg spin saying she wanted to ‘add some happiness to the task’.
However she lost her balance and fell off the side landing on the floor as the bakers looked over in shock.
She couldn’t move due to her laughter and she rolled around on the floor and shouted: ‘Don’t come over here – leave me!’

It was a jam-packed episode which saw the five remaining bakers have to make 30 profiteroles for the Signature Bake.
Next for the Technical Challenge they had to make a Banoffee Pie – with Georgie coming out on top – before making a retro gateau with at least two tiers for the Showstopper Challenge. Â

It comes after last week fans of The Great British Bake Off were left blushing after the episode which viewers dubbed the rudest every aired.Â
The latest instalment of the hit Channel 4 baking show was full of innuendos and jokes, helped by the choice of technical challenge and showstopper from judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.Â
The week saw the bakers tasked with whipping up a spotted Dick for the technical element of the show.Â
The dessert led to hosts Alison and Noel to make a series of eyebrow-raising comments that left those watching mortified.
During one scene, Alison told the bakers: ‘You have two and a half hours to get your dicks ready.’
One of the contestants then replied: ‘I need a finger, that’s what I have a husband for, it’s his only use,’ as they tied up the suet pudding with a piece of string.’
And following a series of other outrageous innuendos, viewers took to X to share their thoughts.Â
Many branded the jokes tasteless and called them ‘pure filth’ while others enjoyed the suggestive comments.
And after their baking was done it was Dylan who rose to victory after his traditional dessert impressed the judges the most.Â
Dylan’s spotted Dick went down such a treat that he was awarded star baker.Â
But while Dylan seemed to be having his best week so far in the tent, Sumayah was less successful.Â
The student from Lancashire had a meltdown with her meringues and suet puddings and said goodbye to her fellow bakers.Â
Speaking about her time on the show, Sumayah said: ‘I feel like it wasn’t one specific event that let me down, it was just kind of a series of mistakes here and there.
She completely lost her balance and ended up on the floor
It all started so well and then she fell
Noel then joined her on the floor in the hilarious moment

‘I have learned to be more confident in myself and my ideas. You learn a lot from everyone and I feel I am going to take a piece of everyone away with me.
‘I’ve learnt that I’m capable of achieving hard things, and to give myself credit for doing so.
‘It’s easy to dismiss accomplishments just because you were able to do it, but the amazing support from everyone really opened my eyes.
‘Not only did I work hard to achieve what I did, but I am also so privileged to be able to undergo this experience.’
