Aerial Simulations announces Boeing 707 for Microsoft Flight Simulator – MSFS Addons

Must read

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Aerial Simulations, the team that brought us the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk in 2022. Since then, the team has been quite silent, especially in the last year, after the last update for the F-117 was published. But they have now broken this silence with the announcement of their latest project for Microsoft Flight Simulator: the Boeing 707!

As revealed through their Discord server, Aerial Simulations has been quietly working on this iconic airliner for over a year. While still a work in progress, Aerial Simulations has released renders showing the current state of the model, along with some details about the project as a whole.

The initial release will feature two variants of the 707: the 707-320B Advanced and the 707-320C. These models represent later, improved versions of the aircraft, offering increased range and payload capacity compared to their predecessors. The 707-320B Advanced was a popular choice among airlines for passenger operations, while the versatile 707-320C provided a convertible configuration, allowing operators to swiftly transition between passenger and cargo layouts.

The Boeing 707, first introduced in the 1950s, revolutionized air travel and played a crucial role in ushering in the jet age. By recreating these models for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Aerial Simulations aims to offer virtual pilots an authentic experience of operating these historic aircraft.

Looking ahead, Aerial Simulations has hinted at plans to expand their 707 family within the simulator. Future updates may include additional variants, potentially covering the diverse range of 707 models that served both commercial airlines and military operators worldwide throughout the aircraft’s long and storied career.

The Boeing 707 was actually an aircraft that simmers could have had in their hands right now. Aeroplane Heaven and Microsoft have been working on it as a Famous Flyer aircraft that was to be released earlier this month, but that ended up not happening, and that 707 has been indefinitely delayed.

Back to the Aerial Simulations 707, the team has promised to share more information in the coming months. The timeline for the release and details about system modeling and cockpit functionality have not yet been announced.

And that’s it, for now! Aerial Simulations has a very good-looking model in hand, as seen in the preview images above, but there’s a whole lot more to a virtual aircraft simulation than a pretty 3D model. Let’s see what further details the team will unveil in the coming months. Stay tuned!
