VFF signs Korean fitness coach to boost Vietnam football squad’s performance

Born in 1983, Yoon Dong Hun is a seasoned South Korean fitness coach with extensive experience. He previously worked with Kitchee SC in Hong Kong (China), where he significantly contributed to the club’s success from 2019 to 2022, including reaching the Round of 16 in the 2022 AFC Champions League.

Yoon Dong Hun holds a degree in physical education from a South Korean university and possesses an AFC A-level coaching certificate as well as an AFC Level 2 fitness coach certification.

According to the VFF, Yoon Dong Hun is highly regarded not only for his expertise but also for his proficiency in utilizing technology and data analysis to enhance player performance.

With Yoon Dong Hun’s addition, Head Coach Kim Sang Sik now has three South Korean assistants: Choi Kwon Won (technical assistant), Yoon Dong Jun (fitness assistant), and Kim Jin Seong (general support).

The Vietnam national team is scheduled for training camps during the upcoming FIFA Days in September and October to prepare for the AFF Cup 2024.

In this regional tournament, Coach Kim Sang Sik’s squad is placed in Group B alongside Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Laos. Group A comprises Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, and the winner of the play-off between Brunei and Timor-Leste. Vietnam aims to reach the finals of the AFF Cup 2024.
