Amitabh Bachchan is really active, and despite his age, he likes to workout and stay healthy. He has to be dissuaded from doing evening workouts because his body won’t recover. Celebrity wellness trainers Shivohaam and Vrindaa Mehta spoke about working with stars such as Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor and pointed out the traits that make them special. In an interview, Vrindaa and Shivohaam spoke about Amitabh’s mindset at his age, his dedication to doing right by his body and mind, and what they’ve learned from him. Vrindaa joined the long list of Amitabh’s associates to praise his punctuality and said that he is the first to apologize when he’s running even a tiny bit late.

The fitness couple, who appeared on Humans of Bombay, said that Amitabh is an icon for a reason and that if someone as busy as him can take time out every day to exercise, then nobody has the right to make an excuse. Vrindaa’s association with Amitabh goes back decades, and she opened up about the work that she has done with him.

“The mindset is that when you know something is good for you, you just do it. It’s not about comfort; it’s not about not having time. If Mr. Bachchan can make time to exercise, regular people can also do it,” she said. Vrindaa said, “Discipline, punctuality. He’s punctual to the dot. Earlier, when I used to train him, we’d start at 6 a.m., and he was almost never late. And if little delays were happening, he would call and say, ‘I’m running a little late; I’m so sorry about it’. He doesn’t need to apologize for five-seven minutes… We take it for granted, but I’ve learned the value of time from him.”

Shivohaam shared that because of BigB’s busy schedule, there are times when he wants to train later in the day. But the trainer refuses and says that it isn’t the ideal time for a workout and that his sleep cycle would go for a toss. He says, “There are times when we have to tell him, ‘Let’s not train right now; it’s not ideal for you’. The point being, he does take out the time, whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening, or even between meetings, because he knows it’s important.”
