Wallets beware: The annual Steam Summer Sale has arrived

Must read

Wallet friendly: Valve’s annual Steam Summer Sale has arrived and is ready to do battle with your wallet. Luckily, with plenty of steep discounts available, you might just survive with minimal financial casualties.

Those looking to escape with as little damage as possible should head directly to the new deep discounts section. Here, you will find an array of outstanding offers including 90 percent off titles like Castle Crashers, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Batman: Arkham Knight.

You can also pick up a copy of Sid Meier’s Civilization VI for $2.99 – that’s 95 percent off the regular price – in preparation for the sequel due out next year.

Elden Ring holdouts might finally be ready to make the leap with a 30 percent discount on their side, which brings the total cost down to $41.99. That puts it in line with the new expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, currently priced at $39.99 so you’re looking at roughly $80 for the pair.

Ready or Not, a tactical first-person shooter that launched late last year to very positive reviews, can come home for $33.49 after a 33 percent discount. Tekken 8, the latest entry in the long-running fighting game franchise, is priced under $40 thanks to a 43 percent instant discount and there’s even a demo you can try beforehand. Baldur’s Gate 3, with its overwhelming positive rating, is 20 percent off at $47.99.

Manor Lords, the wildly successful city building game from Slavic Magic, is 25 percent off, as is Palworld and Lethal Company.

Several fan-favorites are also on sale for the next couple of weeks. No Man’s Sky, Dead Island 2, Farming Simulator 22, and Cyberpunk 2077 are all half off. Hogwart Legacy is 60 percent off, and GTA V can be had at a 63 percent discount.

The Steam Summer Sale runs through July 11 at 10 a.m. Pacific. GOG is also hosting its summer sale which, coincidentally enough, wraps up on the same day.
