Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is not believed to be looking for a transfer this summer, but that hasn’t prevented PSG from rekindling their interest in him
Paris Saint-Germain are poised to reignite their interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, it has been claimed.
The French giants are long-term admirers of Rashford, 26, and previously held talks with the England international back when it seemed as though a move abroad could be on the cards.
Rashford opted to stay at Old Trafford went on to enjoy a career-best season under Erik ten Hag, plundering 30 goals. However, he endured a disappointing campaign last year and there has been further speculation over his future with United’s top brass believed to be open to offers for all but a handful of key players.
That has led to renewed interest from PSG, according to talkSPORT, with the Ligue 1 outfit looking to replace Kylian Mbappe. It’s noted that they will step up their interest in Rashford should they receive any encouragement from the United forward.
PSG’s latest stance on Rashford comes just months after it was reported that they were set to shelve their interest due to Manchester United’s demands. It was claimed back in April that the Red Devils were demanding a sum of £100million in order to part with their homegrown striker, who missed out on a place in England’s Euro 2024 squad.
Rashford signed a bumper new contract with United off the back of his 30-goal campaign in September 2023. His mooted salary of £325,000 would likely be an issue for any potential suitors if offers are made in the transfer window.
Despite speculation linking him with a move elsewhere – and the fact that the club are open to offers for the majority of their first-team squad – it emerged last week that Rashford has no plans to leave Old Trafford.

United will have to rely on player trading this summer in order to bring in the new players they desire given they have a net transfer budget of around £50million due to the Premier League’s current profit and sustainability rules.
The club hierarchy have identified seven players, though, as untouchable in the transfer window. That list consists of Andre Onana, Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund.
It’s understood that serious offers for all other players, including the likes of Rashford and even club captain Bruno Fernandes, would be considered by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team.
