The Tortured Bladders Department! Taylor Swift fans at star’s sell out Wembley show complain of enormous lines for the toilet despite staff converting multiple male toilets into female loos in anticipation

Must read

Taylor Swift fans at the star’s sell out Wembley show are faced with enormous lines for the toilet tonight, despite staff converting multiple male toilets into female loos.

Decked out in cowboy hats, sparkling bodysuits and even wedding dresses, Swifties came prepared for a good time as the Bad Blood star performed in London for the third night.

But the 90,000 crowd of bejewelled fans are facing the far less glamorous problem of crossing their legs all night due to the daunting queues for the loo.

This is despite the staff turning a number of male toilets into ladies loos in anticipation of the mostly female fans.

Although this happened at yesterday’s show for ‘one night only’, they’ve been converted again tonight out of necessity to cater to the sheer volume of women who spent hundreds of pounds for a glimpse of their icon.

But photos taken by MailOnline reporters at the gig show the waiting area for the toilets is crammed with glittering fans just minutes before the first song began.

Those who didn’t want to miss the beginning had to Shake It Off and hold out for a better time to brave the line.

Some fans even took to social media to theorise what songs are the best time to leg it to the loo.

A post on X read: ‘Lover to Fearless [is a good transition]. This one is pretty long so if you run right after she finishes singing lover, you’ll have 2 and a half minutes to leg it to the toilet and get back just before she starts to sing.”

It seems to be a common problem plaguing Swift’s Eras Tour, with her Melbourne leg seeing hundreds of female fans trying to use the men’s toilets.

A Swiftie shared a video to TikTok capturing the bizarre moment, panning around the nearly empty men’s bathroom and urinal before showing the women lining up to use the cubicles.

There was a long line of fed-up looking females waiting for a cubicle to become free, before cutting to show the line extending well past the toilet entrance.

At Taylor Swift, the boys have to share their toilets with the girls,’ the fan wrote next to the footage.

This also happened in Singapore, with the National Stadium has temporarily converted some male bathrooms to female ones — by slapping a makeshift “dress” on the male toilet symbol.

But the problem may not be as bad as it could be, with MailOnline hearing reports of fans abstaining from drinking alcohol due to the steep prices, with two wines selling for £15.

MailOnline reporters said one beer is selling for £7.20 at the gig, £14.50 for a G&T and £10.50 for a regular.

But on the more expensive side is a tin of passion fruit martini selling for £8.

In a speech at the start of the concert, the singer gushed: ‘I’m lookin at 89,000 people!’

It comes after Swift fans said they are convinced that the superstar is going to make a huge announcement during her third night at Wembley Stadium.

Supporters of Taylor, 34, have been guessing when she is going to announce the re-recording of her album Reputation – referred to as Rep TV (Taylor’s Version).

And people are convinced that tonight’s show will be when she announces the album.

Her recent shows have seen complaints of glitching happening on the screen behind her as she performs.

But fans have suspected that this is a build-up to the announcement, when they anticipate the screen will glitch and go completely black.

Famous names who have been spotted reportedly include Paul McCartney, Ellie Goulding, Jon Bon Jovi and Cate Blanchett.

Andrew Scott and Bridgerton star Phoebe Waller Bridge were also sighted dancing along to Love Story.

Also among the guests tonight are Taylor’s parents Scott, 72, and Andrea, 66, are supporting their daughter at tonight’s Wembley concert – along with her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The singer’s parents are as popular amongst Swifties as the singer herself and have played an instrumental part in her career.

It comes after Swift fans complained about not being able to see the stage during her Wembley show despite paying up to £700 for tickets.

The megastar is in the midst of her first London leg of the Eras Tour – but fans who attended Saturday’s show have expressed their frustrations.

Some people raged as they revealed they had paid up to £700 for ‘unobstructed’ tickets yet ended up barely able to see the stage.

This was in stark contrast to others who had actually bought restricted view seats and ended up pleasantly surprised at how much they could see.

Meanwhile, other fans shared their upset at having paid for top quality tickets but being left with a terrible view of the stage.

They said: ‘We paid a lot of money for these tickets and no where does it say restricted view! What can you do about this as they cannot see any of the stage that Taylor Swift will be on!’;

‘@TicketmasterUK babes pls explain how this isn’t restricted view??? £200 to not be able to see Taylor at the end of the stage??? thanks in advance xoxo.’

‘The tents blocking my view more than the sound tower but it could be worse I guess,’ another said, to which someone told them to complain if they weren’t told the view was restricted.

However those who had actually paid for restricted view tickets ended up happy with their seats.

They said: ‘My view was ‘restricted’ but like it was amazing?? I couldn’t see the stuff happening on the main stage but like everything else I could see everythinggggg,’;

Some people also complained about glitches on the big screen throughout the spectacle, suspecting that they might even be intentional because of how many there were.
