Nicki Minaj is struggling to sell tickets to the upcoming leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour – as thousands of seats are still available despite it kicking off in just a few months.

When the rapper, 41, first announced that she was going back on the road, there was immense buzz surrounding her shows.

The tour started in March in Oakland, California, and weeks later, it was hailed as ‘the most successful tour by a female rapper in history,’ grossing $34.9 million from the first 17 shows alone.

But it looks like the excitement about the tour has died down, as she’s currently gearing up for a second U.S. leg – which will begin in September – and there are still an immense amount of tickets for sale.

And that’s not the only one. In fact, thousands of seats are still up for grabs at pretty much every show on the upcoming leg, which will span across 22 cities and end in Elmont, New York, on October 11.

After the tour was announced as ‘the most successful tour by a female rapper in history’ in April, Nicki took to social media to celebrate.

It was also revealed that the hitmaker had become the female rapper with the most concerts earning more than $2 million in ticket sales each.

‘We made female rap history as of today with how many sold-out shows and how many shows that have grossed over $2 million,’ she said in a video uploaded to her Instagram at the time.

I just wanna thank everybody that’s been coming out. I never in my wildest dreams woulda thought that this tour… I mean, I did keep saying it’s gonna be this it’s gonna be that, but let me tell you something, the other component I didn’t factor in was you guys. Your energy.’

Nicki took the tour overseas in late May, and is still in the midst of the European leg. It will conclude in mid-July.

The Anaconda songstress livestreamed the entire incident on her Instagram, and she claimed that the police told her marijuana had been found in her bags while she was on her way from the Netherlands to Manchester for her next show.

A spokesperson for the police in the Netherlands confirmed to NBC News that they ‘arrested a 41-year-old American woman at Schiphol Airport because of possession of soft drugs.’

Nicki was fined and was released from custody a few hours later. Officials said she was carrying 30 to 100 grams of cannabis.

On X, Nicki said the incident stemmed over ‘pre-rolls’ in one of her security guard’s bags.

Her concert in Manchester was ultimately canceled at the last moment as a result of her brief detainment.

‘It is technically against the law to possess, sell or produce drugs in the Netherlands,’ BBC reported.

‘But the country operates a policy of toleration towards the sale or possession of small amounts of some drugs.’
