MAYA Jama was left all dressed up with nowhere to go after Love Island drama plunged filming into chaos.
The host, 29, jetted from Paris Fashion Week to Majorca to fit in shooting for a savage dumping – only for bosses to tear up the schedule and cancel filming.
Maya had been in France for a couples shoot with boyfriend Stormzy on Wednesday then jumped on a plane to Palma on Thursday.
By afternoon, she was fully dressed and glammed up, ready to deliver the results of a public vote when execs scrapped the shoot.
The shock dumping will now be filmed tonight, with the scenes to be shown on Sunday evening’s episode.
A source has now revealed why the dramatic schedule change came about.
They told The Sun: “We always try to react to what is going on in the villa and not confine any brewing situations to set schedules or plotlines.
“Following the explosive suck and blow game on Wednesday – shown on Thursday night – basically there is so much going on with the Islanders, execs decided to just let it all play out.
“Throwing Maya in the mix with the results of the dumping felt like we’d be cutting off a load of drama while it was in mid-flow so we ripped up the schedule.
“The weather was a bit iffy, too.
“So even though Maya was ready to go in full glam, we decided to give her the night off instead.”
It comes as today’s teaser reveals some of the explosive action which delayed the dumping.
Ronnie Vint clashes with Harriett Blackmore in dramatic scenes after he coldly told her he is only interested in bombshell Tiffany Leighton.
The fallout continues as Harriett chats to Jess White, new girl Matilda Draper and Uma Jammeh.
Talking about Ronnie, Harriett takes a passive aggressive swipe by declaring loudly: “Babe, he’s literally acting!”
Ronnie’s ears prick up and he shouts over from the daybeds: “Who is acting? Harriett, who is acting then?”
As Ronnie walks over to the girls, Harriett says: “None of your business. Was you in this conversation? I thought you was sat over there actually, so go back over there.”
Elsewhere, Sean Stone is trying to woo Matilda, but he faces competition from Omar Nyame.
Toughening up his game, interrupts a conversation between the two.
Watching from afar, Nicole Sameul says: “Sean just pulled her away from a conversation with Omar.”
