Loose Women returned to ITV for Friday’s episode as the panel reacted to England’s 1-1 draw against Denmark in the Euros 2024 on Thursday evening. Host Kaye Adams was joined by her fellow panellists Dame Kelly Holmes, Linda Robson and Judi Love.
But things were not as they seemed as the presenter opened the show. Kaye commented: “Hello, and welcome to Friday’s show,” before being met with boos by the studio audience live on air.
“Oh,” a flustered Kaye mused, “all of that will be addressed in a moment.” She went on to explain that the audience was imitating the England fans in the German stadium who booed the team’s lacklustre performance last night after missing out on an automatic place in the semi-finals but remaining top of their group.
The Loose Women host explained the players “did not get the most encouraging send-off as they left the pitch” before they switched topics leaving viewers “disgusted”.
It comes after the host spoke of “unusual places” where women grow hair when they age as Kaye opted to have a hair removed from her lower chin live on air with viewers branding the move a “new low” for the ITV daytime offering.
During the 30-minute programme, they cut away to a live camera to give a closeup shot of the stray hair growing under her chin with fans issuing the same complaint.
@ChloeCo89448997 fumed: “Omg this is gross!! Why the hell would we find this entertaining yuk #loosewomen.”
@Anya_u2 commented: “What a gross show #loosewomen.” @SallyPrice4 complained: “Good grief, whatever happened to tv standards. Tut!Tut! #loosewomen”
@Lulu60351225159 hit out: “This programme has sunk to a new low… #LooseWomen.”
During their chat, Linda Robson gave a very graphic description of hair in a certain area. At first, she discussed it being a “brown bush” before later admitting there were only “stragglers”.
Moments later Judi and Kelly took the opportunity to cut Kaye’s chin hair live on air in a close-up shot which viewers branded “disgusting”.
@mrscarter22 tweeted: “My hubby was about to eat his beef salad sarnie and gagged #LooseWomen,” before adding: “It was making me feel sick. However it should definitely have been plucked out. Now she’s got a daft little tuft sticking out!”
@BevFink said: “Why has this show descended into being gross.” @cj_787 added: “Car crash tv at it’s finest!”
However, others laughed off the squeamish moment with some branding it a bit of fun.
@mrscarter22 chanted: “Pluck it out! Pluck it out! Pluck it out! Pluck it out!#LooseWomen,” while @scully said: “LOL.”
