The buzz for the Spring/Summer 2025 season was in full force during Milan Fashion Week. Earlier this week, MFW staples like Fendi, Diesel, Gucci and Prada showed their upcoming collections, garnering global attention. The fashion capital of Italy still experienced late spring weather that saw warm days and cooler evenings that required layering. Although that was the case, MFW showgoers still dressed ready for summer with key layering pieces to keep warm when needed.

From denim and suede jackets to leather vests and long-sleeved button downs, casual everyday wear continued to be the underlying theme throughout the week. Gone are the days of tailored suits, but rather, comfort takes front stage with most outfits. A slimmed down silhouette was seen throughout the week, with the boxy, oversized suiting aesthetic being a minimal observation this season in comparison to others. Denim jeans were worn baggy to give the laidback aesthetic, some pairing it with a single tank top and others with an overshirt. Trousers were also worn relaxed and often paired with a tighter top, accentuated an A-like figure, moving away from the hyper-masculine look. Leather shorts paired with muscle tees as well as denim-on-denim wares were also main highlights.

When in Milano, brand that showed their upcoming collection during the week received great support from showgoers. In particular, JW Anderson’s masterful yet whimsical sense of simplicity took over the streets along with Fendi’s FF emblazoned pieces like short-sleeved bowler shirts and shorts combos. Take a look at some of the best looks during Milan Fashion Week SS25 above.
