Must read

Love Island spoilers follow for tonight’s (June 17) episode.

Love Island‘s Samantha will admit she’s “embarrassed” by Joey Essex in upcoming scenes set to air tonight.

Samantha is currently paired with the former The Only Way is Essex star, but instantly noticed his mood changed when bombshell Grace walked in.

He soon revealed that they had a passionate holiday romance previously, and it became clear that she wanted to rekindle things when she picked him for the Casa Amor sleepover.

There, the two engaged in plenty of snogging in the pool… and possibly more. It looks like Joey will have to decide on telling Samantha or not in tonight’s episode, as the two go for a chat.

In the scenes, Joey asks why Samantha is upset, and she replies that: “I feel embarrassed if I’m being completely honest… I just feel like I was a bit of a placeholder until someone else came in.”

Joey says that he “didn’t want this to be the outcome”, which prompts Samantha to ask exactly what happened during the sleepover.

Joey isn’t the only guy in hot water tonight, as Ciaran’s attempts to explain his own kiss with Grace to Nicole leads to Nicole labelling him “immature”.

Meanwhile, Harriett is annoyed with Ronnie, who seems to have had his head turned by newcomer Tiffany.

“I think, for me, I just want to know. It’s the anticipating and the waiting around that’s doing me in a bit,” she tells Sean. “It says more about him than it does me.”

Could this be the end of up to three couples?

Love Island airs on ITV2 at 9pm and streams on ITVX.
