Leny Yoro transfer bid ‘rejected’ as Liverpool ‘interested’ in Juventus striker

Must read

Liverpool could be set for several big changes this summer as a new era begins under Arne Slot.

The 2024/25 season will be Liverpool‘s first campaign with a new manager in almost a decade, with popular German head coach Jurgen Klopp stepping down. And former Feyenoord boss Slot faces the unenviable task of replacing Klopp at Anfield as he looks to shape the club in his image.

One way in which Liverpool may look different going forward is with the profile of players they sign in the summer transfer window. The Reds are yet to complete any deals but have been linked with several players from across Europe.

And Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo have claimed that Lille have rejected a €50million (around £42m) offer from Liverpool for Leny Yoro. It is said that the offer is close to the €60m figure Lile are looking for but the Ligue 1 club are in no mood to lower their demands.

As reported by the ECHO on Friday, Real Madrid are seen as favourites to secure Yoro’s signature. Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in a player who many people believe will leave Lille this summer.

Elsewhere, Italian newspaper La Gazzetta are claiming that the Reds are working on a deal to sign Juventus striker Kenan Yildiz. The Turkish forward has scored four goals in 10 appearances for the Seria A club with his contract set to expire in 2027.
