People love ‘life-changing’ travel hack that helps you sleep soundly on planes

Sleeping soundly on the plane can seem like an impossible task.

Being packed into a small space isn’t comfortable at all and you also have the people around you to contend with. Not to mention, you don’t want to end up accidentally kipping on a strangers’ shoulder.




Thankfully though, people have shared a handy travel hack that helps you to doze off easily. It’s been branded “life-changing” and should hopefully allow you to arrive at your destination feeling more revived.

The trick is to use your seatbelt to anchor your feet to the chair, which stops you from shifting around too much in your seat. You’ll need to pull your knees up and then adjust the belt to fit around your ankles.

In one video, that’s been liked more than half a million times, travel influencers Angie and Ricky wrote: “Thank you whoever posted this hack, finally tried this airplane hack and had the best nap ever. Life changing”. And another TikToker added they’d “had THE BEST nap”.

And a third added: “Omg yessss this is genius. Thank you for sharring!!!! I can literally never sleep good because my legs can’t get comfy on those tiny seats and it’s hard to sleep when they’re just dangling.”

Others were more sceptical about the flight hack though, saying it didn’t sound very comfortable or easy. One person replied: “My knees could NEVER.” And someone else added: “My fat calves could never!”

However, some people were more concerned about safety and advised against the technique. One user warned: “if you crash your teeth would be in the back of your throat and something might impale your head so don’t do dis.”
