Jarrad Branthwaite’s claim about Everton future amid Man United ‘agreement’

Must read

Jarrad Branthwaite has previously said he doesn’t get distracted by transfer rumours amid reports that Manchester United have agreed personal terms with the player’s representatives.

Branthwaite has been a long-term target for United, and the club are working to get a deal over the line. With Everton valuing him in the region of £70million. It was claimed on Thursday night that United have taken a significant step towards sealing a deal, with The Times reporting that personal terms have been agreed between them and the defender.

The agreement, as described in the report, would see the 21-year-old get paid between £150,000 and £160,000-a-week. However, United have yet to agree to a transfer with the Toffees.

In addition to United, Real Madrid have also been linked, but speaking back in April, Branthwaite revealed he was refusing to get distracted by the rumours.

“You have just got to block it all out. I think if you focus on the outside stuff, you get distracted from what you need to do on the pitch,” he told the Liverpool Echo.

Everton teammate Ashley Young heaped praise on the defender, telling talkSPORT: “He’s literally playing above his years. He doesn’t take any prisoners, he wants to play football.
