The busiest shopping park in North Wales is hosting a party to mark its 25th anniversary. To mark the occasion, Broughton Shopping Park in Flintshire is offering giveaways, discounts and family fun on Saturday, June 15.
Some of Broughton’s biggest brands are on board with the celebrations with workshops and freebies. Lush is hosting bath bomb-making sessions while Boots is offering a range of prizes via a raffle.
Single-day discounts will also be available, including 25% off at Pizza Express and Welsh jewellery brand Clogau. Everything at Mountain Warehouse will be chalked down by 20%.

A choir will be performing and there will also be roaming entertainment from a dinosaur, giant butterfly and a trio of comedy grannies. As part of the celebrations, Broughton will also be giving away 500 free “anniversary” ice creams. The one-off strawberry jelly flavour was suggested by competition winner Isla Hughes, aged four, from Broughton, and was brought to life by Deeside Creameries.
The retail park opened in June 1999 with 300,000 sq ft of shops and 16 initial retailers. The site now has around 40 retailers as well as a leisure and restaurant complex, attracting more than 10m visitors annually.
For its 20th anniversary, the park announced that it would support 20 good deeds throughout the local area to celebrate its milestone anniversary.
