Hayley Tamaddon has revealed she was rushed to hospital after suffering from severe pain and vomiting before being given a “life-changing” update.

Tamaddon has starred in ITV soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale, whilst also bagging the Dancing on Ice crown in 2014.

She recently shared a heartfelt update on her Instagram account where she opened up on her recent health scare and the challenges of juggling motherhood with her career.

On Wednesday night, she revealed on her story she was left in excruciating pain that led to her hospitalisation and being hooked up to a drip.

She penned: “Today. Woke up. Thought my head was gonna explode. Puked up twice. Took Jasper to nursery. Got ready for a photo shoot. Got there and realised I really should see a doctor.

“Ended up in hospital. On a drop for medication. It didn’t work. Head and neck pain still horrendous. Had a scan. Got told I have arthritis. Came home. Picked Jasper up. Made tea.

Tamaddon’s hospital dash comes just months after she had to take her son to the hospital after he had been sick “so many times” and told her followers: “Nana is driving us to the hospital (With her driving we all might need to be checked at this rate!)”.

She thanked her fans for their support and “gorgeous well wishes”, revealing that she had received “hundreds” of messages.

“It’s so humbling and heartwarming reading them all,” before explaining that he had undergone “lots of tests” but was “a tough little cookie… Wonder where he gets that from,” with a winking emoji.

Tamaddon has made several trips to hospital herself in the past, and in 2022 was treated for meningitis.
