Some of music’s most talked-about stars descended upon Los Angeles Sunday for the NAHMIAS Spring/Summer 2025 show, which showcased designer Doni Nahmias’ vision of an at-once preppy yet dystopian high school experience.

Held at the Pan Pacific Park Gymnasium in West Hollywood, the show brought out the likes of Iann Dior, Ice Cube (with son Shareef Jackson), Machine Gun Kelly, and Travis Barker, whose son, Landon, walked in the show. MGK, meantime, was the surprise musical performer, taking the stage to perform with a four-piece band while models made their way down a makeshift runway in the center of an indoor basketball court.

Machine Gun Kelly arrived at the NAHMIAS show straight from a Spotify party at CMA Fest in Nashville the night before, and the singer’s alt-rock tunes were the perfect soundtrack for Nahmias’ new collection, which worked in elements of grunge, skateboarding and Nineties alternative style. At one point, MGK changed the lyrics of his song “Die in California” from “Got on Prada shoes and Prada tee” to “Got on Prada shoes and my NAHMIAS tee,” much to the delight of the crowd, which also included athletes like Jalen Green and Asante Samuel.

Dubbed “Physical Education, the collection deftly mixed athleticwear with workwear, drawing inspiration from Nahmias’ upbringing in California (as seen on the custom denim and floral prints) and his love for sports (with models wearing mesh jerseys and elevated gym uniforms). The collection was also a love letter to Nahmias’ teenage self, reclaiming his “troubled formative years” — as stated on the accompanying show notes — and transforming his youthful memories into a “vibrant narrative of evolution and perseverance.”

The dichotomies of Nahmias’ past and present were seen throughout the show. One look saw a model come out in a jumpsuit labeled “Miracle Youth Detention Center,” while another model sported a (fake) ankle monitoring bracelet above his NAHMIAS Ollies sneakers. But models also walked the runway in leather suiting, luxe knitwear and more tailored pieces as well, showcasing Nahmias’ incredible versatility and development as a designer. In a press release, Nahmias described his new collection as a “celebration of personal growth and the joyful journey of self-discovery,” and that theme was clearly evident.

This was the NAHMIAS brand’s first show in Los Angeles after years of showing in Paris. The fashion show comes on the heels of NAHMIAS’ recent collaboration with the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, and a new capsule collection introduced at the F1 Monaco Grand Prix.
