STEVE CLARKE was left sweating this morning after skipper Andy Robertson and Lawrence Shankland picked up a niggle in training ahead of their opener with Germany next week.
But his Euro 2024 rival Julian Nagelsmann has been left with a bit more to worry about after two of his players were involved in a heated exchange during practice today.
Germany‘s preparation for next week’s clash descended into chaos as Antonio Rudiger and Niclas Fullkrug “almost came to blows” following an altercation during a crossing exercise.
The two players, who both went head-to-head in the Champions League final last month, were tussling during an exchange as they battled for the ball.
German outlet Bild have reported that they were repeatedly taking each other on until Fullkrug cursed at Rudiger while on the deck.
The Borussia Dortmund hitman then reportedly shouted at coach Mads Buttgereit: “Blow the whistle already”.

The report claims that assistant coach Sandro Wagner had to step in to separate the two players.
Training then ground to a halt for a drink break but both players were still frustrated with the situation.
Rudiger is then claimed to have “mockingly” applauded the decision to stop the session.
Following that, Fullkren stormed past his team-mate and Wagner “angrily” before returning to training.
But the Real Madrid defender reportedly refused to return to the grass and instead went for a run with the athletic trainer.
It could be a worrying sign for German boss Nagelsmann with just days left before they face the Scots in Munich on Friday.
But Rudiger has tried to defuse the situation on social media by posting a picture of the pair in training, accompanied with his team-mate’s nickname “Lucke” and an array of smiling emojis.
Fullkrug, 31, emerged as a doubt for the match last week but speaking today, the striker revealed he is ready to face Clarke’s men.
But he is likely to be given a super sub role by the Germany boss as Nagelsmann has already confirmed that Arsenal forward Kai Havertz will be leading the line for his team.
