United transfer news recap Erik ten Hag latest as Ashworth targets ‘yes’ manager

Borussia Dortmund have already confirmed they would like to re-sign Jadon Sancho in this summer’s transfer window amid fresh claims United have slapped a ‘£40million price tag’ on his services this summer.

It was reported by BBC Sport on Sunday that United have set their valuation for the out-of-favour winger at £40m. The report also stated that United will aim to sell Sancho ‘no matter who the manager is’.

Last month, Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl confirmed they would like to keep hold of Sancho. A more recent report, however, suggested they have other leading priorities within the squad this summer that could force them into attempting to sign him on loan again.

Kehl told German news outlet Welt:

“We will try everything to keep Jadon Sancho here. But Manchester United also sees how well he is playing at the moment. Maybe they also want to sell him for profit or bring him back. We will see.”
