Supermarket evacuated due to shopping centre fire – live updates

Shoppers have been evacuated from an Asda supermarket in Broadstairs this afternoon (Monday, June 10) due to a large fire breaking out on site. Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) is at the scene and has confirmed that the blaze has set alight a large number of pallets in the yard of the Asda store in Westwood Cross.

Four fire engines have been called to the scene and crews are working to tackle the fire. It is not yet known if any injuries have been reported following this incident.
