Barcelona duo Pedri and Lamine Yamal starred as Spain beat Northern Ireland 5-1 in a friendly at Son Moix on Saturday.
Pedri scored the first international goal of his career when he levelled after Northern Ireland had taken a shock lead in the second minute through Daniel Ballard.
Pedri hit back with a low strike from distance that flew past the goalkeeper with just 12 minutes on the clock.
Alvaro Morata then made it 2-1 before Pedri scored again. Nico Williams raced down the left and cut the ball back to Pedri to poke home. You just know the rumor mill is going to love that link up.
Lamine Yamal was next to wow the crowd. The Barcelona teen produced a sublime ball in for Fabian Ruiz to knock home goal number four for Spain.
Spain had to wait until the hour to get their fifth of the night and it came through some real tenacity from Yamal. The Barca teen hunted down the ball and gave it to Mikel Oyarzabal to score from close range.
It’s a good win for Spain in their final friendly before Euro 2024. The squad will now fly out to Germany and play their first game of the tournament on Saturday, 15th June against Croatia.
