Another business leaves town shopping centre due to ‘redevelopment’

Must read

A food store has had to relocate from a town shopping centre due to “redevelopment”. Grape Tree, a national chain that sells “unprocessed, natural” products, has left the Carillon Court Shopping Centre in Loughborough and moved to 34 Cattle Market.

It is widely rumoured that plans are being considered to turn Carillon Court into student flats, however that has never been confirmed and no planning application has been submitted. A spokesperson for Grape Tree said: “The centre is doing some redevelopment which meant that we had to vacate.

“It was either move or leave the town.” The relocation was announced on social media by Grape Tree on Friday, May 24.
