Tell Me Why is free in honor of Pride month
As revealed on Xbox Wire, Microsoft has partnered with LGBTQAI+ media advocacy organization GLAAD again this year for Pride month, continuing their plans to “produce more inclusive games from conception to design to development.” As part of that partnership, Xbox Game Studios Publishing is offering all players Don’t Nod’s fantastic adventure game, Tell Me Why, for free throughout June.
“Tell Me Why, the award-winning narrative adventure from Don’t Nod Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios Publishing, will be available for free on Xbox consoles, Windows PC, and Steam for the entire month of June 2024,” Microsoft says. “As in past years, the Tell Me Why team encourages players to give what they would have spent on Tell Me Why to an independent trans creator or a trans-inclusive charity in their community.”

Alongside the Tell Me Why news, Microsoft has also highlighted its continued partnership with The Trevor Project, a nonprofit organization providing “lifesaving and life-affirming services” to the LGBTQIA+ community, which Microsoft works with to connect players with a host of resources.
As for other games partaking in the Pride month celebrations, the Microsoft Store will once again be curating collections that showcase LGBTQIA+ creators, characters, and games with inclusive gender options. Forza Horizon 5 is offering Pride-themed Xbox art as a vinyl cosmetic, and Overwatch 2 will be hosting the Midtown map and Calling All Heroes eSports event again.
