One of the last two British-Israeli hostages held by Hamas has been confirmed by Israel to have been killed in Gaza.
Israel confirmed on Monday that Nadav Popplewell, 51, was one of four hostages confirmed to have died in captivity alongside Chaim Peri, 80, Yoram Metzger, 80, and Amiram Cooper, 84.
Popplewell was abducted from Kibbutz Nirim with his mother, Hannah Peri, 79, on Oct 7, the day Hamas launched its brutal attack on Israel.
Ms Peri was released in November as part of a temporary ceasefire which saw some of the 250 hostages exchanged for Palestinian prisoners, but Mr Popplewell remained captive.
