Arsenal are not looking to stand still after narrowly losing out in the race for the Premier League crown.

The Gunners were edged out by Manchester City on the final day of the campaign. Mikel Arteta helped his side break a number of records throughout the season. While it was a fantastic year, planning for next season has already got underway. Arsenal will invariably look towards the transfer market in an effort to bolster their side.

A number of stars have already been linked with moves to the Emirates, while some established Gunners stars could even leave. Take a look at all of the news coming out of North London over the past 24 hours.

Sesko up for Arsenal move

Arsenal have been handed a massive boost to their hopes of signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. The forward favours a move to North London this summer.

The German side would be open to selling Sesko in the near future if they can broker the right deal for him. While Arsenal are in pole position, they could face competition from Chelsea and Manchester United.

Sesko is also not the only striker that Arteta’s side have looked at ahead of the summer transfer. Ajax star Brian Bobbey and Brighton frontman Evan Ferguson are also options for the Gunners.

Aubameyang slams Arteta

On the topic of strikers, former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed Mikel Arteta accused him of ‘putting a knife in his back’. The Gabon international was stripped of the Arsenal captaincy before being shipped out to Barcelona.

The new Arsenal shirt for next season is now on sale

The new shirt has returned the Gunners to their roots placing a stripped-down, elegant-looking canon right over the heart of the new shirt. Shirt manufacturers Adidas have produced a “clean and minimal” and the design “embraces modernity, while honouring Arsenal’s rich heritage.
