‘Obnoxious’ video of young recruiters showing off their offices boasting a PlayStation, pool table, beauty station and beer on tap is branded ‘the most convincing argument for compulsory national service’

A recruitment agency has been slammed by social media users after a group of their employees shared a video of their London office, bragging about having computer games to play and a beer tap in the kitchen.

The Europe-wide recruitment agency, Enzo Tech Group, posted a video on TikTok using the ‘of course we’ trend, which sees users sharing stereotypical habits of certain groups. 

Popular on social media apps such as TikTok, the hashtag has garnered more than 57.8 million views on the app.

Viewers of the clip posted by Enzo Tech Group couldn’t help but mock the staff, all of who appear to be Gen Z-ers, after the team was filmed flaunting their laidback office and numerous work benefits – prompting one to say it was a compelling argument for the return of National Service. 

In the first part of the clip, one Gen Z-er at the company is filmed filling up a pint of Peroni from the office kitchen. He said: ‘We’re recruiters, of course we have a beer tap in our office’.

Later in the clip, another member of staff is filmed lounging casually on one of several sofas. Surrounded by a TV and several table games, he said: ‘We’re recruiters, of course we’ve got a PlayStation, pool table and table tennis table.’

Another scene shows a woman walking past a glamorous looking vanity mirror and table loaded with beauty products. She said: ‘We’re recruiters, of course we have a beauty station in our office.’

However, viewers of the clip quickly came up with their own hilarious versions of the trend including, ‘we’re recruiters, of course we failed our uni degrees’.

Another user wrote: ‘We’re recruiters, we have nothing of value to offer society but we want money for finding people who do.’

A third said: ‘We’re recruiters, of course we’re on minimum wage! It’s ok – our bonuses are free beer and a pool table’.  

Others had their own opinions on the clip with one writing: ‘Car sales, recruitment, estate agents. Three of the most sleeze bag money grabbing con men jobs going. And these people think they are professionals?’

‘Do any adults work here?’ another clapped back. 

The agency, Enzo Tech Group, describes itself on LinkedIn as ‘an on-demand service bringing IT professionals and companies together across Europe for everyone to reap the rewards.’

The one-year-old company is run by recruiters and sales people with offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, as well as on Canon Street in London. 

Its website, which is filled with pictures of what appears to be a largely Gen Z team, includes zany one liners such as ‘we don’t see sales as a sin’.

Alongside its other quirks, desk standing, which has become an increasingly popular trend, is seemingly commonplace at the Canon Street office. 

As is the the habit Gen Zers are often slammed for – always being on the phone, with one employee admitting: ‘We’re recruiters, of course I’m always on the phone.’

Other videos posted by the company also show off various work benefits, which include ‘spa days’ and boozy lunches out, as well as the company’s Christmas party aboard a yacht.
