Bella Hadid in vintage Versace
While the model made her red-carpet comeback in a headline-making sheer Saint Laurent dress, it was her second look that was pure Cannes glamour. Hadid ascended those famous steps wearing a vintage Atelier Versace dress from the spring/summer 2001 collection, which featured a cinched bustier and shimmering pailette-covered skirt. She finished the look with Chopard jewellery and a tightly-curled updo.
Diane Kruger in Versace
Diane Kruger rarely gets it wrong on the red carpet, so it comes as no surprise that she makes our top 10 for this year. The actress promoted her new movie, The Shrouds, wearing a glistening royal-blue Versace gown with a sculptural neckline. Chopard jewellery provided the perfect finishing touch.

Naomi Campbell in vintage Chanel
There were several vintage looks on the Cannes red carpet this year, but Naomi Campbell gets the prize for best archival find. Cate Blanchett in Jean Paul Gaultier
Cate Blanchett cut an elegant figure at Cannes this year in several chic looks, but our favourite was this strapless colour-block design by Jean Paul Gaultier. She added a delicate Louis Vuitton High Jewellery pearl necklace, worn draped across her shoulders.
Selena Gomez in Saint Laurent
Selena Gomez proved that sometimes the simplest looks can be the most impactful, in this black velvet Saint Laurent gown, which featured a cream off-the-shoulder neckline. She added red nails, a glossy updo and a dazzling Bulgari necklace, resulting in a look that was both classic and contemporary.
Hunter Schafer in Armani
You never quite know what to expect from Hunter Schafer on the red carpet, which is what makes her so fun to watch. The actress opted for this glossy, high-shine Armani gown at the Kinds of Kindness premiere, accessorising flawlessly by matching the striking periwinkle shade with her shoes and jewels.

Lily Gladstone in Balenciaga
As one of this year’s jury members, Lily Gladstone had several red-carpet appearances this year – but our favourite look of hers had to be this draping off-the-shoulder Balenciaga gown, in a rich golden-orange hue, styled with Chaumet jewellery. The dress was a reinterpretation of a 1959 Cristobal Balenciaga archive piece; classic old Hollywood redone in a thoroughly modern way.
