Kaia Gerber looked effortlessly stylish as she stepped out in New York City on Sunday afternoon.
A striking blue top made Gerber hard to miss as she waited on the sidewalk for a car. Her loose tee, a summer take on the classic button-up, featured a collar and row of black buttons. A sliver of the model’s taut torso peeked out from underneath the cardigan-style top, from James Street Co.
Keeping her look casual and comfortable, Gerber styled the top with a pair of $35 elastic-waist black sweatpants from Brandy Melville, and elevated the look with black leather ballet flats from Repetto. She accessorized with black rectangular sunglasses and a chunky gold ring, and took a page out of ex-boyfriend Jacob Elordi’s handbook by balancing toting a smoothie, iPhone and designer carry-all.
While Gerber’s destination wasn’t clear, her luggage hinted toward a short trip—by way of a private car and helicopter, naturally. The Bottoms star carried both a large black leather tote and Celine’s large travel bag in Triomphe canvas and calfskin, bringing a bit more luxury to her leisurely look. The latter accessory retails for a cool $2,600 and adds to Gerber’s growing collection of Celine bags: She’s also been seen carrying Celine’s Classique Triomphe bag, Cabas Triomphe bag, and Cuir Triomphe Heloise bag.
The star wore her flowing brown hair parted down the middle in effortless waves, and opted for a spot of mascara and a pink lip. Later that day, she was spotted at the West 30th Street Heliport, where she boarded a helicopter with friends.
With a careful balance of sweatpants and swanky accessories, Gerber’s balanced look is the perfect example of high-low dressing. Her travel outfit even argues that what you wear on your way to vacation is just as imperative as what you’ll wear when you get there.
