A man has died following a stabbing at a Thai restaurant in north Queensland.
Emergency crews were called to Joy Thai on Thuringowa Drive in Kirwan, in Townsville’s east, about 4.40pm on Monday following reports a man had been stabbed.
Officers located the man with serious injuries and despite attempts to revive him he later died at the scene.

A man in his 30s was taken into custody and is assisting police with a homicide investigation.
Police confirmed no one else was injured despite earlier reports a woman had also been stabbed.
The investigation is ongoing.
