A brutal brawl between two rival groups of youths involving a machete has left four teenagers in hospital with stab wounds.

The two groups clashed at the Errington Reserve Plaza skate park in St Albans, in Melbourne‘s northwest, just before 8pm on Saturday.

Four teenagers sustained non-life threatening stab wounds with one of those in the affray believed to have been armed with a machete.

Two of the teens, aged 18 and 15, were dropped off at a nearby hospital by an anonymous driver who drove away, police said.

The other boys, both 15-years-old, took themselves to a hospital about 9.45pm.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said both parties are understood to be known to one another.

Those involved are not assisting Detectives from the Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit with inquiries.

Spatters of blood could be seen on the skate park’s concrete on Sunday morning after police were seen combing over the scene the night prior.

A nearby resident, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Herald Sun that police had blocked off nearby streets into the early morning.

Another local, Alan Tran, told the publication that recent violence had left his children too afraid to leave the house at night.

‘I’m scared for me, and for my family and for everyone around here,’ he said.

No charges have yet been laid and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
