Travel Leaders Network president Roger Block will transition to the role of senior advisor next year.

Block, who has spent 45 years in retail travel, will step down from the role of president on Dec. 31, and will become senior advisor to the organization on Jan. 1, 2025. In that role, he will advise management on long-term strategy and competitive analysis.

“The time is simply right for me to start the next phase of my life and pursue some things I’ve wanted to do,” said Block, including traveling.

Originally in the banking industry, Block has held leadership roles with Travel Leaders Network, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Travel Agent International. He has also chaired ASTA’s board of directors.

At Travel Leaders Network specifically, Block has overseen sea change, including the merger of three major brands — Travel Leaders Associates, Results Travel and Vacation.com — into the network. Today, Travel Leaders Network is part of Internova Travel Group’s Travel Leaders Group division.

“Everyone in the travel industry owes a debt of gratitude to Roger,” Travel Leaders Group president John Lovell said. “He cares deeply about travel advisors, and developing them as a sales channel. He’s beloved among TLN members and staff, and I am thrilled that he will continue to work in the company and aid in the transition.”
